9xxx and 10xxx Projects
#1
Never had a problem with my little GPU chugging along for its 15k-20k ppd wu's (mostly 8xxx prcg's) until now. All I am getting is 9xxx and 10xxx ones and I've gone from a 10m TPF to a 70m TPF, bringing my ppd to an agonizing 1500. What are these wu's and why do they hate my Radeon 6970? (yes, I know it's old)

I believe the newer projects are a fair bit larger in terms of pieces involved.

Interestingly, I seem to be getting more PPD with the 9xxx series WUs. Up to 170k PPD as stated by my client(which is fairly accurate if I fold 24/7.

After digging a little bit more, it seems that only select 9xxx projects kill my ppd; plenty of others are just fine. Can't find a pattern at all, either.

The 9114 units give me 190,000+ PPD on a single GTX 780. Too bad I can't just request those all the time, ha!

I just need some hardware that isn't ancient, I guess. One day!
