May as well introduce my (well, work's) new servers. No photos, as they're in a data-centre somewhere in Germany, so I'll never actually see them in real life. They're both running Rosetta@Home at the moment.

Twilight is the web server:
  • 2x Intel Xeon E3-1270 v3 Quadcore Haswell processors (3.5 GHz)
  • 32 GB RAM
  • 2x 240 GB SSDs

Trixie is the database server:
  • 2x Intel Xeon E5-1650 v2 Hexacore Ivy Bridge-E processors (3.5 GHz)
  • 64 GB RAM
  • 2x 240 GB SSDs

I did customise the SSH login messages a little...

Fun thing about the E5-1650, Intel left them and the E5-1660 unlocked for some reason.

Depends on the motherboard. Mine has a dedicated Ethernet port for control.
